BIK has acquired Punkta, a leading online comparison platform focused on motor and other personal lines insurance in Poland.
Punkta, which also trades as mFind, was launched in 2015 and has grown to become a leading player in its market, offering consumers the ability to search for, compare and buy insurance products from a range of leading insurers online. Punkta’s website, which is supported by a range of useful content on insurance and financial services, attracts over 500,000 visits per month as Polish consumers increasingly look to buy insurance and other products online for greater convenience and to save money.
The acquisition of Punkta further consolidates BIK’s position as a leading motor insurance services provider in Poland, focused on using technology to deliver comprehensive, end-to-end services to its clients. In particular, this investment accelerates the delivery of BIK’s Retail strategy, bringing an established customer base, brand and marketing capability, leading technology, and access to new personal lines product categories such as Health, Property and Travel. As a result, BIK will be uniquely positioned in offering a truly omni-channel proposition to consumers in a large and rapidly-evolving Polish market.

BIK carries out its activity pursuant to the Act of 29 August 1997 – Banking Law. The law stipulates that banks acting jointly with bank chambers of commerce may establish an institution authorised to process and make available information to banks and other institutions statutorily authorised to grant credits and loans under certain conditions laid down in the Act.
