At the beginning of next year, organisational changes are to take effect throughout the ERGO Group. „We will be reallocating corporate tasks”, says ERGO´s Chief Executive Officer Markus Rieß. The aim is to make further headway with international expansion and transformation of the Group.
ERGO is to form a company named ERGO International Corporate Solutions SA (EICS) as a key measure in its strategic initiative aimed at expanding international business with corporate customers. The new company will be located in Sopot (Poland). The international management team will be made up of Piotr M. Śliwicki as CEO, Markus Hofmann as Chief Market and Sales Officer and Adam Roman as Chief Underwriting Officer.
In view of his new assignment at EICS, namely setting up the company, including the relevant branches, and establishing relations with brokers and customers in all target markets, Mr. Hofmann will be giving up his position as Chief Executive Officer of ERGO Versicherung AG. As part of his global responsibility, he will however continue to oversee broker sales as a member of its Board of Management.

The changes should, as far as possible, take effect at the beginning of 2018 and are in some cases still subject to approval by the relevant bodies and supervisory authorities.
