According to the Act concerning the complaint handling procedure by financial service providers and the Financial Ombudsman, financial entities are obliged to transmit to the Ombudsman annual reports about complaints made by their clients or legal actions brought.
The report has to include such data as:
- number of new complaints
- number of completed complaints with information about the institution’s decisions
- number and value of clients’ legal actions
- court settlements
- valid judgments
The report has to be given by: insurance companies, insurance brokers, agents and other financial entities. This must be done by 15th February.
