Kraków is the first city in Poland to offer carsharing services, allowing users to rent cars by the minute with a mobile app.
The “Traficar” system was launched three weeks ago.
Customers pay for both the time and the distance driven. The application allows users to find the nearest car and then unlock it by scanning a digital code on the vehicle. Customers can park their car anywhere within the city limits without buying a ticket.
In the first week since the launch of the service, there were over 1,000 registered users and the company is serving an average of around 160 clients a day.
