Debtors have to pay off more than PLN 142 mln to insurers, according to the KRD Economic Information Bureau.
123,000 debtors have fallen behind with payment of 160,000 liabilities to insurance companies. They mainly pertain to the lack of regularly paying motor insurance premiums.
This amount is the minimum level of debt because some insurers do not complete theirs debtors register regularly. Men constitute the majority of insurers’ debtors. They are more often than women car owners so they also more often conclude insurance agreements. Men owe PLN 117 mln for 128,500 non-payment liabilities.
“A 26-year old man is the record-holder. He has to pay PLN 584,600” said Adam Łącki, the KRD Economic Information Bureau CEO.
