The chief economist of the Polish unit of Societe Generale, Jarosław Janecki, has left his position after 13 years. Janecki will focus on academic work at the Warsaw School of Economics, but might consider returning to the market, he explained to PAP.
According to unofficial information, the reason of his resignation is Societe Generale’s decision to liquidate the position of the chief economist in Poland. In April Societe Generale announced the plan to cut 1,600 jobs in the investment banking and corporate banking segments.
