Aneta Fałek tendered her resignation from being a PZU SA Supervisory Board member as of 8 January 2018. The resignation does not specify the reasons for this.
The same day, pursuant to § 20 Section 7 of PZU SA’s Articles of Association, the President of the Council of Ministers, acting on behalf of the State Treasury of the Republic of Poland, appointed Maciej Łopiński to be a PZU SA Supervisory Board Member.
Maciej Łopiński graduated from the University of Gdańsk. He was Editor-in-Chief of Tygodnik Gdański and a journalist at Głos Wybrzeża and Tygodnik Czas. He worked as a member of parliament in the 7th term of office also in the Secretary of State in the Office of President Lech Kaczyński in 2005-2010 and in turn in the Office of President Andrzej Duda in 2015-2016. He has many years of experience in company law and corporate governance gained during his work in supervisory bodies in commercial law companies, including KGHM Polska Miedź SA, PZU Asset Management and Telewizja Polska SA.
