Jacek Jastrzębski the new chair of the Polish Financial Supervision Authority has presented his proposals for changes in the office.
“I want to present changes in KNF’s structure within a few weeks. I would like to strengthen its technology aspect, because the IT solutions implemented in the banking sector are on a higher level of development than used by the financial watchdog”, explained Jastrzębski.
The KNF chair informed about the final stage of his deputies appointment. As he said, after their selection, Jastrzębski plans to be responsible for supervision over the insurance sector.
“I predict that one of my deputies will be responsible for the banking sector and the second deputy for the capital market. In this scenario I will be responsible for the insurance sector”, Jastrzębski said. He added that his aim is to increase the number of KNF’s deputies, max. to 4 persons. However it requires additional legal changes.
