The Management Board of PZU SA announced that on 30 May 2017 PZU, Polski Fundusz Rozwoju (PFR) and PKO BP executed a trilateral agreement.
The trilateral agreement was concluded in connection with the acquisition of a significant block of shares in Bank Pekao by PZU acting in a consortium with PFR from UniCredit.
PZU and PFR concluded a shareholders agreement on 23 January 2017 (read more: PZU: Signing of a shareholders` agreement with PFR S.A.). The essence of the shareholders agreement is to determine the terms of cooperation between PZU and PFR after they acquire shares in the Bank from UniCredit and the parties’ rights and obligations as shareholders of the Bank, in particular with regard to determining how to jointly exercise the voting rights under the shares held in the Bank, and also the parties’ handling of the joint long-term business policy for the Bank.
