The Polish export insurer KUKE plans to launch insurance of domestic receivables after the freshly launch offer for export sales to EU and top OECD countries, KUKE head Janusz Władyczak said.
„We are working hard to create a comprehensive program of support for insuring domestic and export receivables,” Władyczak said.
Insurers participating in the program would be obliged to restore pre-crisis insurance limits, „at least for those firms that had no financial difficulties ahead of the crisis outbreak,” he added.
KUKE will mostly seek to fill the gaps created in commercial insurance system by the crisis, for example by offering insurance limits to offset any reduction by a commercial insurer. The program, for its launch, will require legal changes and an EC approval.
KUKE is just launching a receivable insurance program for exporters to EU and top OECD countries, as the EC agreed that receivables trade in those countries is distorted and requires state intervention.
