More and more Poles are thinking about financial security for their future. According to a Deutsche Bank report from last year, almost half of Poland’s residents plan to better manage their home budget. Most often, we want to postpone retirement (19% of responses) or use term deposits (16%).
The average savings rate in the EU is around 5-6%. In Poland, this value has fluctuated around 2% in recent years. Only Latvia, Lithuania and Cyprus have a lower level. It is interesting, however, that only a little more savings – relative to earnings – are held by the British and Finns than Poles.
