Polish asset managers so far have signed 4,800 agreements to manage employer-sponsored PPK pension plans in the second stage of the program’s roll-out, the head of the state development fund PFR Paweł Borys said.
„So far, 4,800 deals have been signed, so one-quarter of the companies have signed PPK management deals,” Borys said. „The progress is slightly better than in the first stage, as back then many companies waited until the last moment to make the decision,” he added.
The second stage of PPK roll-out encompasses companies employing from 50 to 249 people and was launched on January 1. The number of firms to be covered in that second stage comes to 22k.
In December, Borys expressed hope for a 30-40% participation rate in PPK among mid-sized companies. The participation rate in companies employing over 250 people in the first roll-out stage, came to 39%.
