The Polish development fund PPK, the operator of the PPK pension program, asked the Finance and Development Ministries to postpone the deadlines for implementation of the second stage of the PPK program to match those for the 3rd phase, the CEO of PFR Pawel Borys announced on Twitter.
„Due to epidemiologic threats tied to Covid_19 I have asked the Finance Ministry and the Development Ministry to extend the deadlines for implementing PPK in the 2nd stage for mid-sized firms to match the deadlines for the 3rd stage,” Borys said.
In the second phase, mid-sized firms (employing 50-249 persons) were supposed to launch PPK accounts for their employees in H1. If PFR’s proposal is accepted, such firms would have to sign PPK deals only in H2.
