The portal cashless.pl has described Revolut users’ problems with exclusion travel insurance protection abroad.
A traveler activated travel insurance in the Revolut app in December when he was visiting Portugal. The app deducted payment for each day abroad based on geolocalization. One month later the Revolut user went on another holiday and earlier he had bought travel insurance form a different insurance company. During his holiday he realized that the Revolut application had deducted payment and the function of insurance protection exclusion was blocked.
Cashless.pl editors asked Revolut for an explanation. The startup stated that travel insurance exclusion in the application is possible only in the place of residence. When abroad the user can call the Revolut office and speak to a consultant or use the app’s chat.
