Wiener offers students personal accident insurance as part of the OŚWIATA package, which covers the insured not only during the academic year but throughout the calendar year, 24 hours a day.

In its announcement, the insurer reminds us about the importance of physical activity in everyday life and the necessary caution when performing the most intense exercises. Considering that young people are more likely to engage in physical activity, Wiener has prepared an accident insurance offer targeted at students.

„Even though the cycling season is coming to an end, it is in October that we can see an increase in bicycle traffic, especially in large cities where most universities are located. Students are eager to use urban infrastructure – they ride city bikes or rent electric scooters. It should be remembered, however, that participating in traffic always involves the risk of being involved in an accident. It is worth insuring against such risks,” comments Anna Bałuka of Wiener.

Within the Education Package, students are covered 365 days/year, round-the-clock, and may receive reimbursement of medical expenses as well as a learning disability benefit if they are unable to return to their universities for at least 31 days. What’s more, they can be reimbursed for the purchase of medical aids such as orthoses, crutches, eyeglasses, or hearing aids.

„We want young people to be able to play sports and feel safe. Many of them study away from home, which generates many additional costs. In case of an accident and inability to go to college, they may face many additional problems. We want to help them protect themselves from the stress that comes with it and often makes recovery difficult” – explains Anna Bałuka.

By opting for the OŚWIATA package protection, a student can count on comprehensive protection, choosing various sports, such as roller-skating, in-line skating or skiing, and snowboarding on designated routes all over the world and enjoy playing volleyball and other team sports with friends.
